I didn't say Busy for nothing....

It's been a crazy month! We travelled to Phoenix for two weeks to stay with Nanny & Grandpa and boy that sure took a lot out of me. Couple that with the fact that I got a nasty cold on the way home and have worked 44 hours in less than a week and I am TIRED!!

The girls really enjoyed the trip and had lots of fun swimming daily and picking grapefruits. We also visited the Scottsdale library twice, went to the zoo, the children's museum, the train park and off course went on the swings/slides and fed the ducks. It was busy but great to be outside everyday, except when it rained which was still kinda cool anyway.

Basket Head Basket Head

So, I was wrong about the teething, so far nothing new has come through. Right now they have 12 teeth each so we are just waiting on those pesky canine teeth and 2nd year molars and then that's it for baby teeth!

Kalia's new favourite game is to put her toy basket on her head and run around running into things saying 'Boing Boing' as she bounces off the walls, her sister and random sharp edges. Yes, she did get a little bump on her head but it is just par for the course. She also likes to read while sitting with her basket head. Pictures for proof.





Today we are having the carpet installed for the girls playroom in the basement. I could not be more excited about moving all their toys down to the basement and finally getting my living room back. To keep us busy during the carpet installation can you guess what we did??

Teething.....

Oh how I loathe the.

I mean I am glad they aren't going to be heading off to school with no teeth, but couldn't they just come in nicely or something.

I have blamed teething many times for excessive crying or whining and I am blaming it again today! They should be getting their four canines at around this age and it only makes sense with the excessive drool and crankiness.


Time will tell if I placed my blame correctly or if I just had whiny/cranky girls today.


Ugh. Teething sucks.

Taking Pictures....

I am really working on trying to take good pictures of the girls. Since I hate using flash and we have so little daylight right and they run away 3/4 of the time it's really tough to capture a nice natural light photo.


Today I moved the couch of the way and sat with my back to the window facing the girls, when this didn't work I just started shooting and this is how it turned out.

Soon the girls got bored of that and started jumping on the couch so we got a few shots of that and then it was over. They sure don't sit still for long like they used to so it's pretty much take 100 pictures and hope that maybe 5 will turn out!!!

Will we ever see green grass again??

I am so sick of this cold, it's driving me bananas!!!!!! Speaking of bananas, that's what Kalia & Jordyn had for breakfast, they love it mashed in with their cereal and are starting to eat little pieces of banana just for fun, it's so cute to watch them chew with no teeth. Hehe.

Confessions of a Mother

- I love when my girls wake up for the morning but I also love when they go down for a nap so I can have some ME time and drink my coffee in peace.

-I love doing laundry and do at least two loads/day. Love the smell of clean laundry and they never wear anything more than once without it being washed.

-I love to snuggle with my girls and I wish they weren't so darn curious that they just want to roll around on the floor and play so much. I guess it's good for their development but what about Mommy???

-I sniff their butts multiple times/day to check for something good.

-I CAN wait to be pregnant again. Maybe in 3 years or so.

-I wish I could loose the baby weight but I'd rather play with them then exercise so I guess it'll take me a little longer than I'd like.

-I have mornings where I wake up and still can't believe that they are mine and that I am a MOM!!

-I love going out and showing them off. I dress them alike at times even though I said I wouldn't and I love talking to other twin mommies to find out how things are going with them.

- I bite my nails.

-I should be washing dishes right now but I'm here.
